The Bakery of Goulburn first opened its doors in October 2006. It has since become increasingly popular due to the products served; this is demonstrated by the awards won since its inauspicious beginning.
A large verandah looks to the northeast: here, you can sit out in the sun and relax while having one of our famous pies, a cup of coffee and a delicious sweet treat, a sandwich or whatever takes your fancy. In the winter, several cosy gas heaters further warm this enclosed area.
Yes, the brightly painted tables and chairs are from the past: inside you will find a magnificent cafeteria, and again (believe it or not), air-conditioning – when the silly old bugger pays the bills! Of course, great old-fashioned Aussie tucker: everything you would expect from a bakery and more. In what other bakery than The Bakery of Goulburn could you find an old bloke for a yarn?
Goulburn is in NSW, and was the first inland city in Australia. It is arguably the best-located regional city, being approximately two hours from Sydney, one hour from Canberra and one and a half hours from the coast, smack bang in the middle of the bush. It has a population of approximately 24,000. Employment is quite diverse, which allows the city to flourish under all conditions.
